Robocubs Present at Detroit Grand Prix

The U of D Jesuit Robocubs demonstrated our Aerial Assist robot to over 750 Detroit Public School students on Thursday, May 29, at the Detroit Grand Prix Education Day on Belle Isle.  Along with FRC teams from Cody High School, Cass Tech High School, and East English Village Preparatory Academy, we had a chance to operate our robot for pre-K and 5th graders and talk about the science involved in building a robot.  These students also went to a variety of other “laps” around the Penske tent where they did a number of science activities; we were honored to be part of the event.  Students and Robocubs alike also got a chance to watch race and stock car drivers’ practice laps around the Detroit Grand Prix track.
